The Bridge Ministry is led by Sam Kauerauf and Amonte King at The River.

Middle School Mornings

For Who? 5th-8th grade students
When? Every Sunday morning, 8:45am, 10:00am, 11:15am

Middle School Mornings are for middle schoolers... and it's in the mornings. Mornings at The Bridge exist to transition students successfully into student ministry. We want them to have personal encounters with God, moving them from “mom and dad’s faith” to something that is their own. We want our students to know and fully follow Jesus! Expect snacks, high energy games, crazy stories, relevant messages, and small group discussions led by our adult dream team.

*High school students are encouraged to sit in Sunday morning worship with their parents and friends*

Student Life Groups

For Who? 7th-12th grade students
When? Throughout the week!

Life groups are the foundation of our ministry! We exist to do life together! These groups meet weekly throughout the area, divided by age and gender. Come for fun, good food, and time spent with friends, but stay for an encounter with God through Scripture, prayer, and fellowship on a weekly basis. We believe that this type of interaction is essential for students to grow in their faith and to build a Christ-centered community! Interested? Let us know and we will find the right group to plug your student into.

*5th-6th grade students are a part of small groups on Sunday mornings*

Second Sunday

For Who? 7th-12th grade students
When? Every second Sunday of the month, 6-8pm

Second Sunday's are our monthly worship gathering of our life groups! This is a vibrant, energetic night that’s packed with community and teaching so that students can encounter God! Each month has a different theme and a different reason to be there! This is our time to gather everyone together and worship God for who He is and what He has done.

*5th-6th grade students have similar middle school events throughout the year*

Parent Involvement

Your greatest impact on your student is your ongoing love and support for them. We believe that parents play a crucial role in helping their students get involved in student ministry. We know that your calendar is very full. We know you already spend lots of time in your car going to and from school. We believe that your student is at a critical age where their values are being shaped and influential relationships are being formed. It is imperative that God be a part of this pivotal season. Here are three practical ways you can be involved in your student’s spiritual growth and church life:

  • Encourage consistent attendance and therefore encourage spiritual growth
  • Offer to bring your student’s friends so they feel confident walking in
  • Follow up church events with spiritual conversations to help them grow deeper
  • You have what it takes to spiritually lead your students. We’re here to help you along the way. Need more information? Email hello@theriver.cc
