Welcome to Kids Kreek

It’s never too early to introduce kids to Jesus and His love for them. Our goal is for your kids to have an age-appropriate encounter with God, build a Biblical foundation for their lives, grow with friends and leaders, and love being at church.

Kids Kreek is led by Alex Schuler at The River.

Your First Visit

From babies to fourth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience. When you arrive, our team will happily show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to the Kids Kreek Welcome Desk where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form, we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have and how many children are in your family, and how to contact you. Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, you’ll see your child’s code on the screen. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.

We Value Your Child's Safety

As a parent, you can know that your child is in a safe environment. Kids Kreek Dream Team members submit letters of reference and comply with criminal history background checks. In addition, your child will wear a name tag with a secure, unique check-in reference number and you will be given a claim ticket with that number so that only you can pick them up following the service.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
- 3 John 1:4

Nursery

(Babies 6 weeks old through 18 months)
Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services. We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has. We also take time to love and pray for your child each week.

Toddlers

(18 months through three years)
Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our toddler room ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services. Your toddler will play, have a snack, and even get a short Bible story lesson. They will get to create something to help reinforce what the story was about. It may seem small, but it is just the beginning of building a strong foundation of faith for your little one.

Preschool

(three and four-year olds)
In preschool, children start to engage more with their church experience, so we help them interact and build their faith through stories, crafts, and songs that give them Biblical truths. They also start to form relationships with other kids and their teachers.

Elementary

(five years old through 4th Graders)
We are a church of small groups, and this starts with our kids. Every weekend, your children first through fourth grade come to a Kids Kreek service where they experience worship and Biblical teaching. Most of their time is spent in their small group to give them the benefit of a consistent small group leader and interaction with kids their age. Together, they learn about the Bible and how to have a relationship with God, memorize Scripture, and have fun developing friendships with each other.

Partnering with Parents

We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith. Here are some practical ways you can help us make the most of your child’s time spent at church:

  • Pick a consistent service time and location to help your kids build a relationship with their consistent small group leader and other kids their age.
  • Practice the current Kids Kreek Bible Verse memorization with your kids.
  • Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
  • Serve - Kids

Kids are the leaders of today. That’s what we believe around here. And we have the unique opportunity to help encourage them, build them up, listen to their great stories and pray with them. If you love kids and want to help bring up the next generation of the Church, this is the team for you!
