Comparison is the thief of joy.
John 1 40-42 40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.
Andrew did not allow the presence and influence of his brother, Peter, to steal his joy of giving to Jesus what he had to give.
Andrew did not allow the large following of others to distract him from seeing how Jesus was going to use him.
Andrew did not allow the lack of information coming from Jesus to stand in the way of his obedience and trust.
Ignorance is not an excuse for ignoring the problem.
We delay our obedience hiding behind our need for more clarification.
