River Kids is for infants through 5th graders and is offered during every service at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30am
Your First Visit
Upon arriving at The River, head to the family lobby. Our team will be waiting at the first-time check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family. We even have a gift for you just to say welcome! Our team will walk your family to your child's classroom where you will get to meet our amazing River Kids leaders who will be with your child for the entirety of the service.
To prepare ahead of time, you can fill out the New Family Pre-Registration Form.
We Value Your Child's Safety
As a parent, you can know that your child is in a safe environment. River Kids is staffed by a dedicated team of background checked and thoroughly vetted volunteers. All River Kids environments are cleaned and sanitized between services. Our check-in and nametag system also keeps our kids safe. Upon check-in, you will receive three nametage tags for each child:
One for your child to wear;
One to give their leader as you drop them off;
One to keep, which you present when you pick up your child after service
If there's a need to reach you, you'll receive a text message alert during service.

Nursery
6 Weeks through 12 Months
Your child will receive personal care from our dedicated team, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Our nursery rooms are equipped with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned providing a fun and secure space for your little ones. Each week, we take the time to love and pray for your child, supporting their growth and well-being.
We know babies have specific needs and schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has.
Early Childhood
1-5 years old
It's never too early to start learning about God and His love for us! Our classrooms are divided by age and thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate toys and special service elements tailored just for them packed with kid-focused fun. Each week, they will enjoy stories, lessons, small group activities, and worship songs that impart Biblical truths.
Elementary
Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
Our dedicated leaders teach our kids what it means to know God and grow in their faith. The Bible is brought to life through interactive teaching, fun games, energetic worship in a large group setting, and connection with kids their age in small groups focused on real-life applications.
Preteen
4th & 5th Grade
We know 4th & 5th grade is a pivotal point in your child's development. That's why we've created a space for them to be exactly what they are: not kids and not teenagers, but somewhere in between. Each Sunday is packed with some of their favorite elements of kids ministry while introducing elements that will prepare them to jump into our student ministry. Expect practical teaching, hilarious games, and gender-specific small groups.
River Access
River Access exists to share the love of Christ by assisting individuals needing special accommodations and their families to become full participants and contributors in the body of Christ.
We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment and individualized care that allows all kids access to worship, ministry and fellowship with one another.
Partnering with Parents
The best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you.
- Pick a consistent service time and location to help your kids build a relationship with their consistent small group leader and other kids their age.
- Practice the current River Kids Bible Verse memorization with your kids.
- Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
