Acts 1:8-9 What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
These were his last words.

Mark your calendars for Serve Day on July 16!

2 Corinthians 10:13-16 …the area of influence God assigned to us is to reach you… But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence may be greatly enlarged, so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you.

  • God never gives influence and blessings for our own benefit.

The Seven Mountains of Influence

  1. Church
  2. Government
  3. Arts & Entertainment
  4. Education
  5. Business
  6. Media
  7. Family

“The local church mobilized is the HOPE of the world!” – Pastor Chris Hodges

Matthew 5:13 You are like salt for the whole human race.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven.

Three Foundational Questions

1.) WHY?

Hebrews 13:16 Don’t forget to do good things for others and to share what you have with them. These are the kinds of sacrifices that please God.

  • Serving God’s children is worship to Him.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Three Foundational Questions

2.) WHERE?

  • God’s plan is for you to change your world.

Exodus 4:2 Then the Lord said to Moses, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. God said, “Throw it on the ground.”

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.” – Helen Keller

Three Foundational Questions

3.) HOW?

Proverbs 3:27-28 Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person. Never tell your neighbors to wait until tomorrow if you can help them now.

  • Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s prompting.

Isaiah 58:10-11 And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun- scorched land.
