21 Days of Prayer . "I AM"
Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer and the “I AM” series. The phrase “I AM” is used over 300 times throughout the scriptures from Genesis through Revelation. Over the next 21 days of prayer, we will journey through the book of John where we see seven of the most defining “I AM” statements used by Jesus.
For thirty-three years, Jesus felt everything you have ever felt: weakness, weariness, sadness, rejection. His feet got tired and his head ached. He was tempted and his strength was tested. And you know why? Because in becoming human, Jesus made it possible for us to see God. His tears, God’s tears. His voice, God’s voice. Want to know what matters to God? Find out what matters to Jesus. Want to know what in the world God is doing? Ponder the words and life of Jesus.
Don’t settle for a quick glance or a superficial understanding. Look long into the heart of Christ and you’ll see it. Grace and life. Forgiveness of sin. The defeat of death. This is the hope he gives.
Jesus wants you to know him. As you read these pages, may the hero of all history talk to you personally, and may you find in him the answer to your deepest needs.
Inside these pages you will find 18 devotionals to journey through together. I want to encourage you over the 21 Days to engage the devotionals, to seek God in prayer and commit to worship Him. If you will give God one year of your life and go all in, your life will never be the same. I am trusting that if you give God these 21 Days, you will experience all that the I AM has for you.
"Prayer connects us to God, fasting disconnects us from the world."
